Amaryllis Christmas Card Design

This is the design for my 2014 Christmas card design. Last year, I grew several amaryllis flowers so that I would have the photos to work with this year. Included in the images here, are two of the flower photos used in the mandala, an emerging pattern background, two flower stars, the mandala, and the mandala array. This is the seventh year, I have created digital designs to celebrate the holidays. You can find this design as a card on my Zazzle site under the Christmas card category.

Amaryllis Flowers

It is August, but I am starting on my Christmas card design. Last year, I grew several amaryllis flowers, and took photos of the blooms for the purpose of using them for this year's creations. I have extracted 3 flowers from their backgrounds which is a necessary step toward creating the mandala. I'll keep you posted on progress.

Healing Center of Maine Logo

Peter & Shirley Wright asked me to design a new logo for them. It was an interesting project, and we went through a number of alternatives before settling on the final version. They run The Healing Center of Maine in Dover Foxcroft. Their daughter had previously painted a hand for them. When the hand was duplicated as a mirror image and set next to the original, the heart appeared. They wanted to continue to work with that serendipity, so I simply converted it to a line drawing, and changed the text. I enjoy doing this kind of work, and am open to new projects; so am presenting it as an example of what I can do. Peter is a certified GAPS practitioner, and I designed the logo in exchange for a consultation.

Maine State Mandala

I have created a mandala to celebrate the state of Maine. I plan for it to be the first in a series for all 50 states. You can see an animated version with explanatory text and music by going to my newest blog at: or my Mainely Mandalas blog at:
