Painted Nightblooming Flowers with Lao Tzu Silence

I used this for today's illustrated thought of the week. I post them Sundays on my other blog, Tidbits from Tucson.
*******
The flowers are digital paintings of nightblooming cactus flowers. I like the detail I get from photographs for posters and other products where high resolution is possible. On t shirts and other fabric products some of the detail is wasted, so I am experimenting with digital paintings which will reproduce better for some applications.
*******
T shirts, hats and so on are fun because I can add slogans and sayings, but my mandala designs are too detailed to show up to as good an effect. In short, I will be doing more of these.

Lao Tzu is one of my favorite sources of quotes, and this one is timely. We have too little silence in our world these days, so this serves as a reminder that we need to create spaces for it in our lives.
