This is a mandala made with the same 4 photos. I have added some new twists to this piece. I have added more variation in size between rings so as to create an expanding and contracting rythmn. This is the first time I have combined what I call line elements with the simple concentric rings. It is also the first time that I have allowed the outer ring to go off the page. Photoshop has filed all the information for what is off the page. I could shrink this down and all of the outer ring would show. Isn't this amazing technology?
I also allowed some overlapping of flowers in a couple of rings which I had avoided before. I'm looking at this creative process as an evolving adventure. I never know where it is going next. I like the blog format as opposed to a static website because it allows a sharing of the ride for anyone interested. I have added another quote of Kahlil Gibran. It doesn't show up well at this size and resolution for it is designed to look good at poster size. As is, this is not suitable for small prints or cards; although it could be adapted for such.
The quote is:
Love one another, but make not a bond of your love: Let it rather be a moving sea between the shores of your souls.
